IMPORTANT / INTENDED USE

Disclaimer & intended use

GFMR is a generic reference design and an educational tool for the broader nuclear engineering community.

Generic reference design

IMPORTANT: This model describes a generic reference design. It is NOT the proprietary Saltfoss reactor design. It is provided as a benchmark and educational tool for the broader nuclear engineering community.

Disclaimer

DISCLAIMER: This model is provided “as is”, without any representation or warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to the warranties of merchantability, accuracy, completeness, usefulness, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. Intended use

The GFMR is intended as a reference problem for the modeling and simulation of molten salt reactors, capturing many of the essential physical phenomena relevant to graphite-moderated MSR systems.

It is designed to be software-agnostic and can be implemented using a single-physics approach or within a complex multiphysics framework.
